If the trademark has not been registered yet, then a copy of the application made for the trademark as well as the search documents provided by Trademark Registry, which indicate that the required trademark has been searched through in all the classes, should be submitted.

OR

  • Banks should submit a copy of the approval they receive from Reserve Bank of India.
  • If the domain name is derived from the company name, then the company must be registered with Registrar of Companies in India.
  • If the domain name is same as the trademark, then the trademark must be registered with the Trademark Registry of India.
  • If the domain name is derived from the bank name then the bank must be approved by Reserve Bank of India.
  • The domain will be provisionally activated immediately if all the given conditions are satisfied.
  • The domain will be allotted once the necessary documents and the payment reach within 10 days from the date of application of domain name.
  • If these documents and the payment fail to reach us within the stipulated period, the domain name will be deactivated.

 1) a) The name of the Domain that you ask for must be one that is generally derived from the name of the organisation.

b) Generic names are not allowed under co.in sub-domain.

2) The organisation asking for the Domain must have its office in India.

3) The Administrative contact must be from the organisation requesting the domain name. The Administrative contact must be located in India.

Documents to be submitted
1)  You should fill the domain name registration template on our web site

2) a) To obtain a domain name under co.in, companies will need to submit us a copy of the certificate from the Registrar Of Companies.

b) Proprietorship firms should send us a copy of the Certificate Of
Registration with the Central Sales Tax Office, for getting a registration under co.in.

c) Partnership firms should send us a copy of the Certificate Of
Registration with the Registrar Of Firms, for getting a registration under co.in.

d) If you need a domain name which is derived from your trade-mark, you
will need to send us the documents which specify that the trade-mark applied for has been searched by the Trade-marks Registry in its database. As a proof of evidence please produce both, the trade-mark application document and the trade-mark search document.

3) The net.in domain is specifically reserved for network service providers and e-mail service providers in India. This domain is allotted only if the applicant is able to provide proof in the form of a DoT license for giving e-mail/network services.
